Anne, a brilliant lawyer, lives in perfect harmony with her husband Pierre and their six and
eight‐year-old daughters, in a house on the heights of Paris.
One day, Theo, 17, Pierre’s son from a previous marriage, moves in with them. Anne is troubled by Theo and gradually engages in a passionate relationship with him, putting her career and family life in danger.

In Aus and NZ cinemas early 2024. Watch this space for dates.

By Breillat’s standards, this is an unprecedentedly sleek commercial play, alluring and grabby — yet with an innate, considered nastiness, an unspoken intellectualisation of our least explicable instincts, that never feels compromised.
-Film Of The Week-

… While the film never shocks it almost always compels, and Breillat crafts some images that keep tingling in the mind long after they’ve faded from sight.
-Daily Telegraph UK-

Breillat here ventures even deeper into the dark territory of forbidden desires, not out of perversion but rather to push our understandings of ourselves and our impulses further.
-The Ringer-

While Last Summer’s imbalance certainly hamstrings its cumulative power, it works more often than not thanks to Breillat’s bid at authorial reflexivity and her commitment to taking seriously both our ugly and admirable recesses of character.
